STAG Chest of Drawers

This vintage STAG tallboy has been transformed into a bold statement piece through an Art Deco-inspired redesign that celebrates the warmth of the original cherry wood whilst introducing striking contemporary geometry.

The drawer fronts showcase a dramatic diamond pattern: sections of exposed African cherry wood framed by elegant gold accent lines that flow seamlessly across all seven drawers. The deep charcoal finish of the painted areas creates a sophisticated contrast, allowing the rich reddish-brown grain of the Makore timber to take centre stage.

The hardware tells its own story. Hexagonal brass knobs in both polished gold and matte black punctuate the geometric design, their faceted forms echoing the Art Deco motif. The mix of finishes adds visual interest whilst maintaining cohesion across the piece.

The original solid cherry wood top has been lovingly restored, its beautiful grain enhanced with oil finishing and framed by a painted charcoal border. Inside, the drawers retain their original STAG Furniture badge—a mark of British manufacturing heritage from the mid-twentieth century.
