This vintage STAG dressing table has been transformed into a striking statement piece through an Art Deco-inspired redesign that honours the craftsmanship of the original whilst creating something entirely contemporary.
The body features a sophisticated deep charcoal finish, providing a dramatic backdrop that allows the warm tones of the original mahogany to shine through. The drawer fronts showcase bold geometric triangle inlays: sections of carefully exposed wood framed by elegant gold accent lines that catch the light.
Particular attention has been paid to the details. Hexagonal brass knobs replace the original hardware, their geometric form echoing the Art Deco motif. Even the drawer interiors reveal a surprise: a hand-painted geometric line pattern that brings unexpected delight to everyday use.
The original solid mahogany top has been lovingly restored to showcase its natural grain and warmth, creating a beautiful contrast against the painted body. The tapered legs, characteristic of mid-century design, have been finished in charcoal to ground the piece.

This versatile piece of furniture was originally styled as a dressing table but the piece lends itself to being, not only a dressing table it was intended to be, but also a hall table, console table or sideboard.
This Stag dressing table has been given a complete makeover to create a modern piece of furniture that will create a focal point to any living space.
The top and drawer fronts have been sanded back to beautiful cherry wood then cleaned, grain popped with hemp oil and protected with 2 coats of Osmo oil.
The middle drawer has been lined with a stylish geometric paper.
The body of the dressing table has been sanded, cleaned and painted with Fusion Mineral Paint “Coal Black”.
To complete the look all handles have been replaced with brass hexagon knobs.
